Photo shoot in the tunnel. A bit of fun with some sparklers and slow shutter speed.

Isn't it funny how some images come about so unexpectadly. Here I was, unsuccessfully taking photos of the bright night sky when I suddenly got very frustrated with it and gave up. I looked over to a nearby porch light and tried to use it as a fixed light source for some light painting. Check out the results.

More of my Melbourne.
I was interested in whether my photos of Melbourne this year would be similar to what I took in 2010. Thankfully they are different in many ways. Interestingly I am more conscious of the technical aspect of my images now but also I'm more willing to go against those 'rules' of photography that tend to make me think too much instead of just making the picture I want to make.
I had a little brush with Aussie fame thanks to my new favourite little bar in Melbourne called "Softbelly". Thank you Adam Hills for topping off a brilliant weekend.

Yep, more blur :) Just like it so much lately.
Then...there are times when you simply don't care about white balance, poor lighting, composition or anything you usually ponder. Sometimes you just want a happy snap of someone you didn't think you were going to ever see on a weekend away.
